What we repair

Every repair is quoted individually — before we start, you get an expected cost range. Why don’t we publish a price list? Warranty: 3 months.

Have home or contents insurance? We prepare a damage report for your insurer — free of charge with the repair.

Buying a used MacBook, or just bought one? We check its condition with you.

MacBook Air is Apple’s most popular laptop — and one of the ones we repair most often. Newer models have no fan, so overheating is rarely an issue — but spills and cracked screens happen a lot. We handle both, on site, in Kraków.

Most common problems

  • Liquid damage. The thin design means liquid reaches the logic board quickly. Turn the computer off, don’t charge it and bring it to us.
  • Cracked screen. In every MacBook Air generation we replace just the brand-new panel instead of the whole display assembly, which makes the repair much cheaper.
  • MacBook Air won’t turn on or charge. Usually a logic board fault — we repair the board by micro-soldering; replacing the whole board is a last resort.
  • Battery lasts less and less. A new battery restores normal battery life.
  • Keyboard. Keys that don’t work or a keyboard after a spill — we replace the keyboard.

Original parts

Whenever possible, we fit original Apple parts recovered from practically new devices, with zero or minimal wear. This is a deliberate choice. Original recovered parts pair with the repaired device without any issues. The usual choice is between cheap replacements and expensive parts from Apple’s official channels. We spent a long time looking for a third way and found it: a trusted supplier who lets us give you an original part in practically new condition, at a price official-channel parts can’t match.

  • Batteries — original Apple, usually with 1–5 charge cycles and 100% capacity.
  • Keyboards and trackpads — original Apple.

Screens — always new panels

When replacing a screen we fit a brand-new panel from the same manufacturers that supply Apple (most often LG Display and Sharp). We keep the display assembly that’s already in your computer — in about 95% of cases the panel alone can be replaced, even if the lid is bent. Replacing the whole display assembly (then a recovered one) is a last resort for us, because it means a higher and usually unnecessary cost for you.

When quoting, we present the available options — the final decision is always yours.

How the repair works

  1. Initial diagnosis in front of you — we open the computer, look at the board and explain straight away what happened.
  2. Expected cost range and timeframe. We only start the repair once you approve.
  3. Repair on site — if something comes up beyond the agreed scope, we call you first.
  4. Pick-up with a warranty — 3 months as standard. Have an insurance policy? We prepare a report for your insurer free of charge with the repair.

FAQ

What parts do you use?

Whenever possible — original Apple parts recovered from practically new devices, with zero or minimal wear. This is a deliberate choice. We searched a long time for a supplier that lets us fit original parts instead of replacements, without official-channel prices. Batteries usually have 1–5 cycles and 100% capacity. Screens are the exception — when replacing the panel alone we always fit a brand-new one. They pair with the repaired device without any issues.

I spilled something on my MacBook Air. What should I do?

Turn the computer off straight away, unplug the charger and don’t try to start it. Bring it in as soon as possible — the earlier we deal with the board, the better the chance of a full recovery.

My MacBook Air screen cracked. Does the whole lid have to be replaced?

No — in every MacBook Air generation we replace just the brand-new screen panel, even if the lid is bent. It’s much cheaper than replacing the whole display assembly, which is a last resort for us.

What warranty do I get?

Our standard service warranty on all repairs is 3 months. In special cases, depending on the type of repair, it can be extended.
