Liquid-damaged MacBook Pro 16 A2485 wouldn’t turn on — logic board and lid sensor repair

This liquid-damaged MacBook Pro 16 A2485 came to me because it wouldn’t turn on at all.
There was corrosion in several places on the logic board. I cleaned the board and repaired the damage under a microscope, but the more interesting part turned out to be a small component next to the hinge: the lid angle sensor (LAS) flex cable.
The cable was too corroded to save, so I moved the sensor chip itself onto a new flex cable. The photos show the state the old one was in.
The computer boots and works. Here’s how MacBook logic board repair after liquid damage works step by step.
